Hudson needed a next-generation POS solution with an agile unified commerce platform that could be deployed fast. Business leaders wanted a single view of all sales activity and to drive competitiveness through one-stop unification of fixed POS, mobile POS, self-checkout systems, vending machines and cashier-less stores.

Core deliverables included the Flooid Core platform, centralized cloud-based infrastructure and support for cash registers, self-service, online shopping and other POS channels, and an upcoming loyalty program app.

Hudson enabled new customer experiences within weeks and expanded sales opportunities through support for contactless mobile payments and self-checkout.

The agile Flooid platform also allowed Hudson to use vending machines to meet the previously unforeseen demand for personal protective equipment (PPE).
“We were able to implement vending machines across 27 airports in North America in the middle of the pandemic within three weeks. The fact that we have a unified technology allows us to use the same processes in terms of pricing, assortment, promotions, taxes, etcetera,” said Jordi.
“We only have to deploy once and then we can execute through multiple channels.
Hudson is now creating even more new experiences for customers. Future projects include additional mobile capabilities and a mobile app that will transact using the Flooid platform.
