Flooid’s centralised technology, streamlined management tools and data automated logistics are saving hundreds of convenience store owners time and effort
Harman Basainty, Franchisee Owner at One Stop, was recently interviewed to celebrate the rollout of Flooid’s unified commerce platform across 900 One Stop stores. Harman’s 2,000 sqft store in Swansea also uses edge computing powered by Intel processors, to streamline operations including inventory management. Together, Flooid and Intel give him full visibility over stock levels and provide a platform for future innovations in the way he sells to customers.
Harman said: “Before the network point-of-sale system everything was very much manual. You’d have to come into store to see all your stock levels and what you actually need to order for the next delivery. We don’t have to walk around with pen and paper anymore.”
Retailers like Harman choose Flooid and Intel because it frees them from manual processes so they can concentrate on building their business and serving their customers. Immediate real-time reporting and live updates, transferred by wireless communication, keep them continuously informed about stock levels.
Harman said: “The Intel technology really does give your business an edge. With a network system you don’t have to be in store; you don’t have to be wandering up and down the aisles. It allows you to run your business from anywhere.”
Harman is one of many entrepreneurs powering One Stop’s expansion into Wales. He said: “I’ve more or less grown up in retail. My parents have owned convenience stores all my life. Summer holidays – there were none. We were working and helping out the family.
“From growing up in the community to being able to serve the community really is something to be proud of.”
