International Women’s Day is a time to celebrate the achievements of women across industries and recognise the impact they make in shaping the future of business, technology, and leadership.

At Flooid, women across our global teams play an important role in driving innovation, strengthening partnerships, and supporting customers.

One of those leaders is Danielle Pease, Head of Customer Success Management at Flooid, whose work ensures customers gain real value from our solutions while strengthening the relationships that drive long-term success.

Turning customer insight into business value

In her role, Danielle is responsible for ensuring Flooid customers receive the support, outcomes, and value they expect from our technology.

My job is to make sure our customers get what they need from our products and teams, and ultimately that they’re happy,” Danielle explained. “Customer success might be my title, but it’s everyone’s responsibility. Everything the business does feeds into that.

Danielle’s career has included multiple roles that focus on customer satisfaction and success. These roles gave her a unique perspective on how organisations respond to challenges and how processes can evolve to better support customers.

That experience helped me understand whether an issue was a one-off problem or something that indicated a larger opportunity for the business to improve,” she said.

Today, she applies that same mindset at Flooid, identifying ways to strengthen customer partnerships, improve processes, and ensure the company continues delivering value across its retail technology platform.

The importance of advocacy and partnership

One of Danielle’s key goals is strengthening customer advocacy.

While Flooid’s solutions are trusted by many global retailers, Danielle believes long-term partnerships should go beyond technology adoption.

Yes, our software works, and it’s powerful. But that doesn’t automatically mean customers are happy. We need to make sure they see us as a partner that adds value in every interaction,” she said.

Her focus is building stronger relationships with customers while helping the organisation continuously improve. By analysing feedback, identifying root causes of challenges, and refining processes, Danielle works to ensure Flooid’s products and teams deliver the best possible experience.

Ultimately, her goal is simple: more satisfied customers who actively advocate for Flooid.

Building confidence as a woman in software

Like many women in technology, Danielle has navigated moments of self-doubt throughout her career. She believes that learning to trust your voice and expertise is a crucial step in leadership.

Sometimes women question themselves more than they should. You ask yourself if you’re good enough or if you should have said something differently,” Danielle said. “But you have to build confidence in your abilities and speak up when something doesn’t feel right.”

She also believes the software industry is becoming increasingly welcoming to women, with more opportunities emerging for female leaders to make an impact.

It’s an exciting time to be part of the software industry as a woman,” she said.

The power of inclusive culture

Since joining Flooid, Danielle has been encouraged by the culture of collaboration and support across the business.

She highlights the willingness of colleagues across teams to help one another and the importance of flexibility, particularly for professionals balancing career ambitions with family responsibilities.

As a mum, the flexibility to work from home and still grow my career makes a huge difference,” she explained.

She also appreciates seeing women represented in leadership, including Flooid’s female CEO, Diane Palmquist, and hopes to see even more women step into leadership roles across the organisation in the future.

Looking ahead

Danielle’s vision for the future centres on strengthening customer partnerships and ensuring every Flooid customer has a positive experience with the platform.

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, Danielle’s story highlights the importance of confidence, collaboration, and customer advocacy in shaping the future of retail technology.
